Well, last weekend was a blast though a tiring one ( we are not getting any younger lol well certainly me, I don't want to speak for the others hahaha). We played a stunning venue in Knottingley for a lovely couple who renewed their wedding vows. We knew a few faces from the area too. That was followed by The Mod Beach Party in Knaresborough on Sunday. That was a hot and energetic gig again with loads of faces from York and Harrogate to support us as well as lots of new ones. We even made the local paper!
2017 has been a busy year so far with many of our gigs away from our beloved home city of York. But we have loved the traveling and the playing to 1000's of new faces in awesome venues at awesome events. Check out the pix page to see some of these.
Of note was Arsetonbury 2017, Cleethorpes National Scooter Rally and The Selby Family Fun Day. Brilliant friendly events either in aid of charity and helping others or just using music as the means to bring people together.
Please check out our Gig Calendar on the Home Page to see our next 5 gigs and get yourself down. Bring your friends and be a part of The 5:15's "Mod Movement".

Mothership Festival 2016
2016 North Yorkshire Mini Adventure Weekend - 23rd - 26th June 2016
We only went and "blew the bloody doors off!"
We played this rollercoaster, fun filled, mini adventure weekend on Saturday 25th June after having played The Apollo Festival that afternoon!! We are so Rock & Soul!!!!! And it was definitely worth it. The venue is set in the beautiful surroundings of the North Yorkshire Moors. This isnt your usual mini show, its a weekend packed with driving your mini on some of the best roads in the UK, competitions, social gathering, fund raising and more. For 2016, they have choosen to raise money for RETT UK. This was suggested by one of their long term event attendees as it effects her immediate family. As they are a small community and event, they like to support their members. Fabulous stuff we think.
CLIFTON PARK, YORK SATURDAY 25th JUNE 2016
We played main stage at The Apllo Festival Saturday 25th June. It was a fabulous music and family focussed event and great for Clifton (the part of York the band has its roots in). We also had some very special guests join us on stage: Alan Leach (Shed 7 drummer) played congas for us on 'For Your Love' and Chris Helme (The Seahorses singer) sang 'That's Entertainment' with us - awesome!!! We were also so stacked to be sharing the main stage with some iconic British bands (Cast and Dodgy) as well as other local favourite bands. What a fabulous family day out. Look out for the event in 2017. It's going to be bigger and, no doubt, better!
QUADROPHENIA, THE GRAND OPERA HOUSE, YORK SATURDAY 11th JUNE 2016
The 5:15's performed in Quadrophenia in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support at The Grand Opera House in York Saturday 11th June 2016.
They were part of a cast of local musicians and bands taking part in a production of the classic 1973 album and film written by Pete Townsend, guitarist in The Who. The album was performed in full. We closed out the show with a full on performance of classic Mod anthems from the 60's to a packed house! Tickets had been sold out for months in advance.
It was an honour and a privilege to be asked to play an acoustic set to support this charity mini-festival event organised by Donna and Darren Stead in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support. It was a cool, chilled family evening with great performances from The Two Tone Colouring Book, the various guest singers and musos, The Pippettes (great backing vox and percussion). We loved playing, as we always do, but cool to do it as an acoustic set. Finally, huge congratulations to The Steads and all those who supported them for raising over £2,500 for the charity.
THE 5:15's to play VW POWERFEST 2016
Saturday 28th May
York Raceway, Seaton Ross YO42 4SS
The 5:15's will be live on stage Saturday night 28th May with another mod fuelled performance.
This is going to be a proper fuel filled festival with a a strong hint of vintage and loads of racing, stalls and VW Camper Vans to drool over.
This year will see the first time we run for the full bank holiday weekend and campers are welcome from Friday. Saturday is a cheap day for day visitors who can expect clubstands, show cars and can enjoy the entertainment and traders etc on site though there will be no racing. Sunday and Monday are full race days. We really want to see more dubs on the track this year and would encourage people to give it a go.
